Fancy Manuscripts are a No-No!

It's tempting to make your work stand out, but editors really aren't looking for a fancy cover page.

Editors are good at picking out amateurs, and fancy cover pages for manuscripts are one clear giveaway. Your manuscript should be typed, double-spaced, and printed on professional quality paper - or else read the submission guidelines of each specific publisher for details. Do put your name and title on every page, along with a page number. Don't use designer fonts. Let your book tell the story.
